Position:

We need a dynamic individual to produce content for KSL-TV community initiatives focused

Key Responsibilities:

Assume primary responsibility for stories to be produced for regular newscasts, as part of

Oversee production, writing and editing of stories and specials
Strive to achieve accuracy, fairness and topical relevance in reporting and production of
stories
Edit and write copy, headlines, teases, and promos that are accurate, interesting and
understandable and that entice the viewer to watch
Attend story planning conferences and give input to news talent and fellow producers
regarding coverage
Consistently meet deadlines as defined by KSL management, News Director, and
Enterprise Managing Editor
Contribute creative story-telling techniques and ideas to production of stories. Produce
an attractive product by utilizing fresh approaches to packaging, production and content
Set an example of professionalism and leadership
Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management and clients
Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures
Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor

Required Skills & Experience:

College degree in journalism, communications, related field, or equivalent
Ability to conceptualize production for each story and to timely assign production
elements to appropriate news, production and enterprise personnel
Knowledge of news scripting program ENPS and the ability to utilize state-of-the-art
television technology
Ability to edit video content on AdobePremiere preferred
Familiarity with digital video camera operation preferred
Proven ability to handle stress
Prefer those with knowledge of community organizations and resources

Physical Demands:

Lift, move and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion

POSTION PURPOSE:

Arizona's largest radio newsroom needs a part time editor for the assignment desk! KTAR-
FM editors coordinate reporter assignments, listen to the scanners, make beat calls, text
and tweet using the station's accounts, conduct phone interviews and much more. On air
ability is a plus but is not necessary. You have to be organized, have great news judgment,
write great copy and be the person in the newsroom who knows exactly what's going on at
any given moment. This part time position requires you to be available mornings or
afternoons and the schedule will vary based on vacations and sick relief. It's the perfect
"foot in the door" opportunity for an up-and-comer or a great job for someone who just
wants to keep their news chops fresh.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Generate story ideas, coordinate information and assign personnel as needed. Coordinate
information among radio reporters, online colleagues, show producers and studio engineers.
Compile daily "Daybook" and file future daybook items.
Monitor public service agency scanners/social media for breaking stories and assign
personnel necessary to cover the story.
Read news wires/social media regularly and other news sources (email) for story ideas.
Special emphasis on stories for the PM Drive newscasts and on developing coverage plans
for the following day's newscasts.
Coordinate with television news partner if needed for stories.
Handle other desk-related activities, as needed, i.e. newspaper file, mail and other tasks
necessary for the efficient operation of the newsroom.
Assemble and send out scheduled text updates and text alerts when needed.










REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



Two years post high school education in communication/journalism with skills in the
following areas: booking guests, broadcast journalism, writing, computer and operational
skills, related field, or equivalent.
Experience in a broadcast journalism environment, professional or collegiate level.
Knowledge of newswire services and a working knowledge of computer skills.
Aggressive attitude with a strong desire to advance in the broadcasting media.
Quick learner who is fully committed to meeting the challenge.
Strong desire to work at the state's largest and most respected radio station.
Multi-tasking pro. Ability to be organized with the capability to concentrate on more than

services for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints. Based in Salt Lake City, Bonneville Distribution focuses on providing distribution
services for TV and radio stations around the world that broadcast the weekly Mormon

POSITION SUMMARY: The Distribution Coordinator will serve a critical role as part of a
small, highly integrated team to provide logistical support for several multi-national
broadcasts, including the longest running weekly network broadcast in the world. They will
label, package and ship domestic and international Music & the Spoken Word programs both
weekly programs, and holiday specials for 13 holidays. They will market, monitor satellite
signals, manage broadcaster relationships and coordinate with partner departments for the
broadcasting, packaging and shipping of LDS General Conference. They will also manage
daily office operations when other employees are out of town.

LOCATION: Salt Lake City

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Successfully manage and perform the labeling, packaging, shipping and duplication
control functions for broadcasts.
Work with vendors to ensure project shipping deadlines are met and materials prepared.
Purchase and maintain appropriate inventory of duplication supplies.
Maintain electronic database current to meet client and team informational needs. Provide
status reports to supervisor as needed.
Effectively communicate and interact with a variety of clients and team members via

Host overnight shift on KXXM, as well as be available for on-air and remote fill-in. Additionally, provide programming and control board support to On-Air Talent.

Responsibilities
