You are an experienced, energetic, and team-oriented Reporter, covering health care issues around
California and at the state Capitol.

You have extensive knowledge of health care issues, strong writing abilities, advanced reporting
skills, the ability to distill complex subject matters and the desire to be a team player in a growing
news organization.


Primary Duties

As our Health Care Reporter, you will regularly produce health care features and daily spots, while
maintaining expertise about health care issues and policy in California and nationwide.

You will file for CapRadio’s Capital Public Radio Network statewide news service which is carried on
more than two-dozen affiliates in California, Oregon and Nevada as well as NPR and other national
outlets. All that AND you get to live in beautiful California!


Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or in related field, or equivalent work experience for at least 5 years
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office and audio editing software
Travels as assigned for news coverage

Position Summary:

The Pitch Producer I is an integral part of on-air fundraising efforts during
Minnesota Public Radio member drives. This role is responsible for building
content-responsive pitch breaks from scripting, communicating with hosts and show
producers, and ensuring the quality of on-air fundraising. This is a temporary or

The Associate Producer will work with the show staff and the MPR Newsroom to help
produce the best regional broadcast of All Things Considered in public radio. This position is
responsible for providing content and production support for All Things Considered and the

Required Education and Experience:

B.A. degree or equivalent work experience in broadcasting, journalism, or related field.

helpful.

Demonstrated radio production skills, including digital editing and production.
