with 3 full time news people. This position will be 90% news/10% sports!

Job Summary:
Host overnight shift on KXXM, as well as be available for on-air and remote fill-in. Additionally, provide programming and control board support to On-Air Talent.

Responsibilities
• Operates control board for studios and remote programming.
• Regulates program timing, operates syndicated programming, and plays commercials.
• Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from master control room.
• Supports off-air commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers.
• Protects station’s license by censoring live programs and deleting words/phrases not permitted on air.
• Executes playlists for server, tape, or simulcast programming.
• Assists with adjusting signal and programming content to ensure transmission meets federally mandated broadcast standards.
• Processes time-out programming for accurate play back.
• Monitors and updates weather, traffic and news reports into automation equipment.
• Checks studio equipment for proper functioning and notifies Engineering of technical malfunctions affecting quality of the broadcast.
• Screens in-coming phone calls and selectively chooses callers for On-Air Talent and talk shows.
• Handles emergency inserts (e.g. news updates, breaking stories, alert system tests, etc.).
Qualifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, Adobe Audition or similar audio editing software, Wide Orbit or similar automation system
• Time management and attention to detail
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, overnight and weekends
• Functions well in a fast-paced environment with tight timeframes and multiple demands
• Works well in a team environment
Work Experience
• 6 months in a related role and/or technical training

POSTION PURPOSE:



We need a dynamic General Sales Manager to oversee sales for KOIT and KMVQ in our San
Francisco market. The ideal candidate will have a track record of growing market share by
creating integrated marketing solutions, developing client relationships, coaching account
executives and generating revenue. They will develop and maintain strategies to ensure
revenue growth for the stations.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Recruit and attract top sales talent
Communicate effectively to build and maintain successful internal and external
relationships with reps, buyers, planners and clients
Take full ownership of station budgets and revenue goals and develop strategies to
improve sales year over year
Develop targeted, customer focused marketing solutions using multiple media products
including but not limited to radio, web, mobile and social media
Develop sales team through mentoring, goal setting, training and other management
practices
Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures



REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



College degree in business, communications, sales, marketing, related field, or equivalent
is preferred
A minimum of five years' successful sales experience, including two to three years' as an
effective manager, directing the accomplishment of sales objectives, preferably in
broadcasting
Highly computer literate in all Microsoft Office products and ideally has experience with
Wide Orbit, Marketron, and a complete understanding of Nielson Ratings
Excellent understanding of effectively pricing and managing inventory
Skilled negotiator with ability to up-sell
Proven history of achieving budgets on multiple platforms
Ability to organize, analyze and interpret statistical data and draw conclusions from
finding and follow-through.
Possess excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Capable and willing to resolve unexpected problems and be flexible to perform
unscheduled assignments
Maintain a positive rapport with co-workers, vendors and clients
Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
Maintain a valid driver's license and proven ability to safely drive personal vehicle without
exposing company to serious liability risks

Job responsibilities may include the following:

Help coordinate remote events for radio stations

In-house promotions and marketing

Provide support on logistics, setup, takedown for remote events
Conduct tours of the station broadcast house
Interact with listeners, clients, hosts and DJs in a positive manner
Qualifications:

Produce brand-aligned radio promos, short liners, show opens and periodic specialty
production

Develop working knowledge of several KSL audio editing systems
