Bonneville International has been a leader in broadcasting for over 50 years, with

across our markets. We currently own and operate 14 radio stations in Seattle,
Phoenix, Denver and Salt Lake City, along with the NBC Affiliate TV station, KSL
TV 5, in Salt Lake. We're proud of our history, and we want talented people to

We are looking for a quick thinking sports reporter to report on daily sports
stories of interest to the Arizona Sports listening and digital audience on an on-
call/fill-in basis.


Perform live field/studio reports
Maintain community contacts and develop specialties to enterprise sports news
Be a self-starter and quick thinker while reporting in-house and on-location
placing an extreme emphasis on conversational writing and creative presentation
during live and taped reports.
Consistently contributes original story ideas
Transcribes broadcast stories into original web content. Multi-media reporter with
audio/written/photo/video when applicable


Two years post high school education in journalism with skills in the following
areas: writing, broadcast journalism, news judgment, computer skills.
Three years of experience in a professional broadcast journalism environment.
Knowledge of newswire services and a working knowledge of computer skills.
Ability to develop and maintain news sources.
Strong writing and editorial skills.
Social Media presence and proficiency in Twitter, Facebook and Instagram platforms
is a plus.
Aggressive attitude with a strong desire to advance in the broadcast media. A
sports news junkie.
Quick learner who is fully committed to meeting the challenge.
Ability to dig up stories, enterprise news a must.
Excellent digital audio editing skills.
Multi-tasking pro. Ability to be organized with the capability to concentrate on
more than one event at a time, able to follow written and verbal instructions
under supervision.
Proven ability to work under pressure to meet daily/weekly deadlines. Ability to
be precise and accurate both in writing and production.
Monitor news on a daily basis.
Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.


Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written
communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand
Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
