to fill a part-time, Monday-Friday position in the television promotions
department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the strategic

KFMB Stations is searching for a Programming Manager for its television
properties (CBS 8, CW & MeTV). Position works closely with various
departments, including news, engineering, sales, and traffic and is
responsible for all programming and sports changes, including but not
limited to: network correspondence, format updates, closed circuit feeds,
sports team assignments, change requests. Position will also be responsible
for overseeing the distribution of daily syndicated shows for on-air
broadcasting; creating and maintaining TV programming grids; and FCC
compliance for closed captioning and children’s programming. Additional
responsibilities include: Master control procedures (e.g. Sports); Network
preemptions and clearance reports; Local programming contracts with program
syndicators; Amortization and barter reports; Budgets; and the creation of
new local programs for CBS 8 and CW. Candidates must be extremely detail-
oriented, have excellent data entry and communication skills and be capable
of handling fluctuating workloads and deadlines. Candidates must have a
minimum 3-5 years’ previous television programming experience as well as a
degree in Communications or a related field. Prior experience with Media

Position Summary:

We are seeking an intern looking for a unique cross-platform digital experience. You'll need
excellent photojournalism and video skills to create compelling, unique content for
MPRNews.org, which has won numerous awards for its visual storytelling. The intern will
shoot and edit daily and project-based stories, working both with radio reporters and
independently. The position is full time for 10-12 weeks. The start date is adjustable based
on school schedule.

$12.50/hour, 40 hours a week

Position Responsibility:

Plan and produce daily and/or weekly photo and video stories on deadline using programs
such as Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
Work with reporters and producers to produce and edit regular radio show-related video
and photographic features.
Work on range of assignments including spot news, portraits, features and explanatory
stories.
Generate assignment and project ideas.
Coordinate with news staff to gather information for website. Some written material may be
required.
Process photos for news stories including cropping, resizing, color adjusting, etc.
Find wire service photos to use for news stories.
Follow established workflow and production routines.

Required Education and Experience:

College student or recent graduate in journalism, photojournalism or a liberal arts degree
program.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Demonstrated photojournalism both still and video -- skills. Require portfolio, clips or links
to examples of your work.
Video editing skills.
Ability to plan and produce photo and video stories on deadline.
Competence in Photoshop and video editing software such as Premiere Pro.
Ability to write strong, accurate photo and video captions and descriptions.
Reliable news judgment.
Creative thinker, with ability to generate story ideas.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Prior journalism experience in student media or other internships.
Understanding of social media tools.
Comfort with web publishing systems.
Knowledge of After Effects a bonus.

months) we’ll move you into a full-time Cameraman position, in your own city outside of Atlanta,
and build you to become a DP for us.

We often work odd hours on short notice where some weeks are busier than others. Lots of
driving and heavy travel are guaranteed. Our crews drive hundreds of miles before and after
shooting on a regular basis.

Experience in PA, Audio and Grip work are a plus. However, a solid reel and hard working
attitude are key.

Requirements: Valid Drivers License, Passport, Dependable Vehicle, but most of all a strong
desire to be the best.

Federal Apprenticeship guidelines require at least a college degree or 2 years of work related
experience.
