Position: KSL TV is looking for a part-time studio tech to operate studio cameras, handheld
cameras, robotic cameras, camera control units, teleprompters, other related television
equipment and act as floor director in a manner that provides KSL News and its views a
highly produced product from a technical and aesthetic perspective.



Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Run studio cameras, handheld cameras, robotic cameras, camera control units,
teleprompter, other related television equipment
Act as floor director for KSL News programs and other KSL productions as scheduled
Perform specific studio technician assigned functions for KSL TV at a consistently high
level of performance
Responsible for assuring the highest quality production values in all work performed
Setting up, cleaning and performing minor maintenance on sets and equipment in news
and production studios
Perform clerical functions as necessary
Take direction from directors and/or producers to obtain best on-air product
Offer suggestions for improvement of newscasts and other productions



Qualifications:

High school graduate, related field or equivalent
Ability to work rabidly and effectively under pressure
Able to be organized, able to meet job deadlines and be a self-starter with demonstrated
ability to effectively perform with minimum supervision
Able to operate studio camera, handheld camera, teleprompter and camera control
unites
Good vision, able to display creative abilities in studio camera composition as well as in
other assigned production activities
Prefer minimum of one-year previous on-air commercial television studio production
experience or equivalent
Prefer basic computer skills
Work hours required and able to work more hours when needed to meet deadlines



Physical Demands:

Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication
effectively
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs. or heavy studio production equipment as needed
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand
coordination

POSITION PURPOSE:

We are seeking a dynamic reporter to join the award-winning KSL Investigators. You will be
responsible for conceptualizing, researching, writing and presenting highly-produced
investigative stories. You will develop stories in cooperation with the Enterprise Managing
Editors and other members of the KSL News Management Team. Primary focus is on
regularly produced content outside of the daily assignment rotation. You may be called
upon to provide investigative angles to daily news stories. You will set an example of
professionalism in skill, attitude and commitment.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to originate, research, write and produce news stories with a concentration
on investigative reporting.
Must be able to write concise, highly visual stories from complex material for broadcast,
digital and print media.
Must be able to cultivate meaningful sources in the community leading to rich, unique
stories and content.
Must be able to write in a factually correct, clear and conversational manner.
Must be an aggressive and focused reporter with the ability to enterprise original stories.
Must have strong investigative skills with an enterprising mindset.
Must be well-organized and able to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Conduct interviews, gather information, log and organize footage, arrange for graphics,
write broadcast scripts, web scripts and supervise editing sessions.
Work effectively in a team environment with various photographers, editors, producers
and managers.
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with strong on-camera reporting
skills.



REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

College degree in journalism, communications, related field or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years journalism experience investigative reporting and producing a must.
Knowledge of computer-assisted reporting, public records requests and public records
law is preferred.
Ability to work in a team environment with various photographers, editors and producers.
Consistently able to work hours required. Work more when required to meet deadlines,
including flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, evenings, rotating days, overtime, etc.
Able to remain on a particular assignment until completed.
Valid driver license and proven ability to safely drive company or personal vehicle (as
case may be) without exposing the company to serious liability risks.
Proven ability to handle stress.
Work in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management and clients.
Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.

POSTION PURPOSE:

We're looking for someone with strong project management skills to act as a digital sales
specialist for our Salt Lake stations, including KSL TV, KSL NewsRadio, FM100.3 and 103.5 The
Arrow. This role will include responsibility to ensure the fulfillment of digital sales, acting as a
coordinator between the sales teams and digital content team. This person will be responsible
to contribute to meeting advertising revenue goals by working collaboratively with other sales
reps on consultative sales of radio-based digital advertising solutions to new and existing
clients. You'll have the opportunity to grow in this role, and be a part of a growing, dynamic
team.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure fulfillment of digital advertising by coordinating with sales teams, digital content teams
and digital revenue team.
Achieve and grow digital revenue on all radio-based digital platforms including but not limited
to programmatic advertising.
Work with AE's on prospecting and identifying digital revenue opportunities, creating digital
sales packages, presenting to clients and assisting in closing the sale.
Oversee execution of the digital advertising campaigns, provide recap reports and present
renewal opportunities to clients with the AE's.
Demonstrate knowledge of selling digital advertising products including digital display ads,
SEO, paid media, social media, mobile, programmatic, IP targeting, OTT, e-mail, mobile
advertising and website landing page development.


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

College degree in business, communications, sales, marketing, related field or equivalent is
preferred
Excellent project management skills; experience with sales operations preferred
Two-three years of online advertising sales experience, preferably with programmatic
placement
Collaborative approach and a history of exceeding sales goals
Strong understanding of digital online advertising
Ability to develop client facing presentations
Ability to create and sell comprehensive marketing solutions
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Tools a Must
Proven success in outside and digital sales
Proficiency in managing sophisticated advertising programs and delivery methodologies
