Communications Manager

We are looking for a great person to join the Boncom team as a Communications Manager to lead Boncom's communications and marketing efforts, to tell our story to internal and external audiences.

On a daily basis you will work with leaders across the agency to find creative ways to inform and inspire staff and nurture the Boncom culture. You'll play a key role in keeping employees informed with consistent, timely communications on agency happenings, priorities, and vision. You'll design and orchestrate agency-wide meetings and events throughout the year. And you'll plan and execute Boncom's own marketing efforts.

You are an ideal fit if you've already got 5-7 years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations. If you are an extremely organized and detailed communicator with excellent storytelling skills, then this could be a great fit for you.

Required Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years of experience in communications or marketing, with some of that time spent focused on internal communications
• Highly effective communicator with excellent writing, editing, proofreading, persuasion, and presentation skills; journalistic ability to tell and frame compelling stories
• Ability to devise creative communication strategies and materials
• Comfortable navigating the complexities of a busy organization juggling a variety of projects and priorities
• Creative problem solver who is resourceful, proactive, collaborative, and self-motivated
• Have familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, journalism, or related field.
• Advertising agency experience
• Experience planning and running events
• Experience running corporate social media accounts and website
• Accomplished project manager who is extremely organized, efficient, and detailed
• Experience counseling and prepping senior executives, as well as rapid response and issues management communications
• Finger on the pulse of communication tools, resources and trends
• Highly developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities of this role:

• Manage Boncom's internal communications program, including playing a pivotal role planning staff meetings, staff events and strategic staff communications.
• Support the business development team as needed.
• Lead Boncom's marketing efforts, including thought leadership, website maintenance, and social media strategy.
• Support the Executive Leadership Team with stakeholder presentations and other special projects.
