On-Call Studio Technician - CBN News (D.C.)

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a Studio Technician to work in our studios under supervision to operate television cameras and perform various studio functions.

This opportunity is an on-call position offering flexible hours on an as-needed basis without guaranteed weekly hours.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

·              Working knowledge and capability of operating a camera

·              Knowledge of television production and workflow

·              Ability to carry video and lighting equipment, and consistently lift 40 lbs or more

·              Ability to climb ladders and work from a scissor lift at extended heights

·              Good hand-eye coordination, ability to stand for long periods of time

·              Good visual and creative skills

·              Excellent oral and written communication skills

·              Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team, working collaboratively with various show producers

·              Ability to work different shifts, extended hours, and meet unexpected work demands

·              Comfortable working with lighting and related studio equipment a plus

·              Previous experience as a Lighting Technician a plus
