Broadcast Engineer

CBN International – Virginia Beach, VA

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an experienced Broadcast Engineer to install, maintain and troubleshoot studio, production, transmission, and IT systems within a television broadcast environment.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Previous experience managing mission critical Broadcast/IT environments
• Strong knowledge of broadcast electronic equipment and systems in studio, production, post-production and transmission
• Ability to provide maintenance and troubleshoot wired and wireless communication systems and in-studio camera and operating equipment
• Provide maintenance support for audio and video capture, processing, archiving, monitoring, display and transmission devices
• Monitor and manage all ancillary systems
• Knowledge of FCC standards and regulations for television broadcast, distribution and closed captioning
• Ability to distinguish colors as related to monitor service, adjustment, and operation
• Ability to operate electronic test equipment used for troubleshooting circuits down to the component level
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
• Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• Strong hand/eye coordination with ability to stand, stoop, and lift up to 25 lbs.
