IT Broadcast Engineer

Broadcast Operations – Virginia Beach, VA

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an IT Broadcast Engineer to provide ongoing maintenance for various electronic equipment as well as support IT integrations.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of IT and data networking as it relates to the broadcast environment
• Working knowledge of broadcast electronic equipment in the areas of theory, design, and maintenance
• Knowledge of FCC standards as related to broadcast and data recording equipment
• Knowledge of television production, post-production, studio, and remote production
• Ability to distinguish colors as related to monitor service, adjustment, and operation
• Ability to operate electronic test equipment used for troubleshooting circuits up to component level
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
• Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• Strong hand/eye coordination with ability to stand, stoop, and lift up to 25 lbs.
