New Business Sales Trainee

KRQE Media Group in Albuquerque, NM is growing quickly and we are seeking an entry level New Business Sales Trainee.   This is a unique career opportunity for a curious, flexible, customer-oriented individual who wants to join our sales team and build a career in multi-screen sales (broadcast TV & digital products & services).    We will provide a unique, comprehensive long-term, from the ground up training program.  You will gain a thorough understanding of our broadcast TV stations and its’ digital products & services including the backend of the business:  media software, orders, reports, proposals, etc.  You will learn how to prospect and develop leads and obtain key information from decision makers that will help you develop effective advertising solutions that deliver results for New Mexico businesses.   This is a full-time position and requires no broadcast or digital sales experience.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Business-to-business marketing to include prospecting, cold calling, and networking to develop new business leads.
• Consulting with business owners to provide customized advertising solutions to help them reach their goals.
• Use of media software.
• Use of CRM software to manage accounts and opportunities for growth.
• Relationship management.
• Provide excellent customer service and grow account share.
• Ensure accounts pay within approved credit terms.
• Work collaboratively with sales team to meet department goals. 

Requirements & Skills:

• Ability to talk/connect to people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences in person, video teleconferencing or by phone.
• Respect and promote inclusion & diversity.
• Efficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow through skills.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Work independently
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Perform other duties as assigned.​

Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s degree, or related business-to-business job experience preferred.

Compensation Range:   $35,000 - $60,000
