KPCW is looking for a Reporter/Anchor
Want to work in a world-class resort town with an international economy covering everything from skiing and Sundance to breaking news, crime and the environment? KPCW is Park City’s NPR affiliate, and our dynamic newsroom is the Wasatch Back's top source for what's happening up in the mountains. We offer competitive pay, excellent benefits and a collaborative, music-filled newsroom. Read agendas and attend events, some of which don’t feel like work at all (opening day on the mountain, film festivals, etc.). Participate in the creativity of story and program origination with news team, supervisors, and station staff. Keep excellent records. Help with fundraising campaigns and community-building events. Other:Manage tight deadlines and make solid decisions in rapidly changing situations. Collaborate constantly with the news team under News Director’s supervision. Reporter schedules vary (early mornings on some days, evenings on other days, midnight oil during elections, participate in on-call weekend reporter rotation.) .
Experience: College degree in journalism or related field required. Prior news experience and fluency in Spanish preferred. Strong candidates possessing some but not all preferred experience will receive consideration. Please send a cover letter, resume and examples of your work to email@example.com.
