Arkansas PBS is seeking a Senior Public Affairs/News Producer who embraces our high standards of compelling, creative, and informative storytelling through content innovation across multiple platforms to inform Arkansans on today's issues. The Senior Public Affairs/News Producer will produce daily and essential content for broadcast and digital, podcasts, current affairs segments, talk shows, and blogs. This role will be responsible for overseeing editorial decisions, shooting, audio, editing, graphics, and scriptwriting to deliver compelling, informative, and innovative public affairs content that keeps Arkansans informed and engaged. They will also have the ability to collaborate closely with civic leaders, newsmakers, and talent; and be hardwired to keeping abreast of noteworthy events and issues that affect Arkansas locally, regionally, and nationally.

This role requires a commitment to the core values of ARPBS and the ability to be mindful of diverse voices and lived experiences in our communities that broaden perceptions and seek common ground. The ideal candidate must uphold the station's core content goals to Inform, Entertain, Educate, Resonate, Inspire, and Enlighten, keeping them central to our aim of becoming more daily and essential to our audience.

Requirements for the Senior Public Affairs Producer include a degree in journalism, communication, or other related filed, and three years of experience in public affairs reporting and/or broadcast Journalism. Experience in research, editing, blog content, podcasts, and hosting/moderating preferred.
